Managing Your Finances

Have you found yourself frequently needing to take out payday loans? Although it is a fairly common problem, you may be able to manage your finances better. You might be surprised how much extra money you find yourself with at the end of the month by just following these simple tips:

  • Find a couple things you can live without in your life or at least less expensive substitutes for them. You could try buying more generic grocery items, use a cheaper cell phone plan, or cancel some of those expensive movie channels you don't watch on cable.
  • Do you let a lot of spare change go to waste? Start up a spare change jar and let your change add up for a couple weeks, but make sure you put your extra money to good use!
  • Don't eat out as much - fast food or restaurants. Most of these places are bad for your health and your wallet! Save money by buying your food from the grocery store and cooking yourself.
  • Make sure you're paying all of your monthly bills on time. Late fees can cost over $40 and they'll damage your credit score as well.
  • Create a weekly budget for yourself and follow it to the best of your ability. Start by finding out how much you spend each week on average, and then try setting your budget at $10 less than that. Each week try knocking off another couple bucks.
  • Try cutting down on any bad habits you may have. You may be surprised how much you spend on expensive coffee, cigarettes, or alcohol.
  • Almost everyone who commutes to work spends over $20 a week on gas these days. If you can carpool or take public transportation just two days a week, you could easily save $50 a month.
  • Have you tried these tactics but are still having money problems? You might want to consider a debt management or debt consolidation program. These services can help eliminate debt and get you lower monthly payments so you can live comfortably.
